The Lincoln Board of Education voted to move forward with a ballot initiative that would green-light expansion and improvements for our city’s rapidly growing school district on Dec. 10, 2018. The bond would NOT raise the current tax rate.
In the past five years alone, enrollment in the LPS district has increased by over 4,000 students. Passing this bond would build two new high schools and one new elementary school – alleviating pressure on facilities currently serving hundreds more students than they were designed to hold.
