Member of the Nebraska Legislature, and Democratic candidate in the 2022 Nebraska gubernatorial election, Sen. Carol Blood met with voters to hear their concerns about issues in western Nebraska communities.

Sen. Carol Blood said she will focus on voter concerns, not scare tactics. Some issues include environmental concerns like the AltEn plant’s effect on Water in Mead, Nebraska and the management of tax system solutions.

Blood was born in McCook and raised on a farm in Adams County. She and her husband, Joe, have three adult children and 10 grandchildren. She was elected to the at-large seat on the Bellevue City Council in 2008 and re-elected in 2012. She was elected to the Legislature in 2016 and re-elected in 2020.
