County Party newsletter for August 2018 is now available; see the newsletter page on the County Party website, at https://lancastercountydemocrats.org/news/newsletter/
There are less than 100 days until the November election. If you haven’t gotten involved, now is the time to help!
Lancaster County Democrats had a trailer at the Hickman Hay Days parade and a booth at the Lancaster County Super Fair to talk with visitors about voting and being block captains. We’ll also be at the Indian Center Pow Wow and Malone Center Back to School Jam. Thanks to everyone helping to make these activities a success. Talking to people in our community is how Democrats will get elected.
Join us to hear Senator Adam Morfeld discuss Medicaid Expansion at our Issues Committee meeting on Aug. 14, 7 pm at LCDP’s office. We’ll also have coffee and cookies with candidates Aug. 21 at 6 pm before our Central Committee meeting. (Sign up for our emails at www.lancastercountydemocrats.org).
Community leaders and elected officials gathered recently to protest the Republican Party’s attempt to deny citizens the right to vote for the candidate of their choice in the Lincoln Mayor’s election. Read the press release in this newsletter.
Phone banking is underway to recruit Block Captains and volunteers who will make calls in October for our push to get people to vote. We hope you will help us support candidates by volunteering or donating to your county party. We are fundraising for slate cards and the general election campaign.
Please consider a donation or become a sustaining donor at www.lancastercountydemocrats.org. We appreciate your support.
I hope to see you soon,
Janet Chung, Chair
Lancaster County Democratic Party
