2017 City Elections

Elections do not happen only when we vote for President! City elections are happening in Lincoln in 2017 and have huge impacts for us.

It is critical to turn out for both the primary and the general elections!

If you do not live in Lincoln, we need volunteers to knock doors or make calls!

We must win these elections to show power and momentum for statewide elections in 2018—that is when we will take on Sen. Fischer, Gov. Ricketts and many State Legislative races. Show up in 2017 to show our blue power!

Contact Information for Federal Office Holders

Nebraska’s Congressional Delegation is made up of two US Senators who represent the entire state and three House of Representatives who cover the various districts across our state. All five of Nebraska’s Members of Congress are Republicans (together we change that!).

Senators have terms of 6 years–Sasse is up for re-election in 2020 and Fischer is up for re-election in 2018. House Members have term of 2 years–so Fortenberry, Bacon and Smith are all up for re-election in 2018. If you have ideas for people to run for these offices, email info@nebraskademocrats.org.

Calling, emailing, tweeting and FB messaging your Members of Congress is critical to get things done and to show them the grassroots back in the state are watching them and keeping them accountable.

Save This Number In Your Phone: By calling the Congressional Switchboard, you can reach all 5 of Nebraska’s House and Senate Members (just tell them your zip code and they will patch you thru). 202-224-3121

Tips on Calling:
The Indivisible Guide is a great resource for tips on calling your Members of Congress. https://www.indivisibleguide.com

Find Your House Member:
Not Sure who represents you in the House of Representatives? No problem! Just put your zip code into this website. Remember, as a Nebraskan, you have 2 US Senators and 1 House Member. http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/
